Plushes of Fantastic Presence

Originally designed as marketable, mass produced plush toys with simple straps to attach to a belt or pack for adventerous children, modeled after a series of well known magic items, the Plushes of Fantastic Presence were all ensorceled with minor magics to keep them from being destroyed through regular use, such as minor durability, stain resistances, etc. However, these drew the attention of actual adventurers when it was discovered that very rarely, the minor effects on these items combined into something far more powerful, granting them true magical effects, unique to each model. A 'mundane' version of any plush is 1 SP, has an item level of 0, and can be found in any large town, with the exception of Huggy Ooze, which is 5 sp, and may be more difficult to obtain as it was a special model. A 'mundane' Plush lacks the Activated Action as listed in the item profiles below, but any 'mundane' plush has a 1% chance of being the truly magical version, which can only be discerned with an Identify Magic check of an Incredibly Hard difficulty for your level. The Magical version of the plushes have the cost, activated abilities, and Item Levels as listed within the profiles below.

ITEM 3 Knighty Knight   Invested Occult

This small plush is of a knight in black armor, with a bucket helm and a large shield emblazoned with a silver moon over a crimson tower. Holding this plush as you sleep will protect you from non-magical nightmares.

DURATION: One Hour

Knighty Knight transforms into a towering Humanoid of indeterminate gender or ancestry, fully clad in blacksteel plate. While in this form, Knighty Night will follow just behind the person who summoned it, looming over their shoulder and granting them a +2 item bonus to Intimidation and Diplomacy Checks. Additonally, once during this hour, Knighty Knight can be commanded to cast either the Sleep or Darkness spells as a two action activity. These spells are heightened to a rank equal to half your level rounded up, and use either your Spell Save DC or your class DC, whichever is higher. Once either the duration ends, you spend a Single Action to Command it to deactivate, or if Knighty Night takes any damage, it reverts back to Plush form in your possession, and it cannot be activated again for 3 days.

ITEM 3 Gabby Gazer   Invested Magical

This small plush is of a fantastic, spherical creature, it's entire front consisting of one large eye, possessing four stalks with smaller eyes at the end positioned equidistantly around the body. Each stalk has small rings and jewelry at the base, and when squeezed, the plush will audibly give the holder a simple, vague compliment, though never one that isn't applicable to the holder, such as complimenting a bald person on their hair.

Gabby Gazer animates, it's plush form becoming soft, leathery skin, and bonds telepathically to the creature that woke her. While animated, Gabby Gazer hovers with a 50 foot flight speed, can see Invisible objects withing 30 feet of her, and has a Perception modifier equal to 8 + your level. As long as you remain within 1000 feet of Gabby Gazer, she will relay a constant stream of commentary regarding her opinions on her surroundings via this telepathic bond, and can be telepathically requested to move, Seek, or Interact with objects using the Telekinetic Hand cantrip with a Diplomacy check of a low DC for your level. Once during the duration, Gabby Gazer can be telepathically requested to cast Invisibility on herself as a 2nd Rank spell. Once either the Duration ends, you spend a Single Action to telepathically Command her to deactivate, you get further than 1000 feet, or Gabby Gazer takes any damage, she immediately reverts to Plush form in your possession and cannot be activated again for 1 week.

ITEM 3 Royal Rat-King   Invested Magical

This small plush is of a bundle of cute rats, each wearing a small golden crown and tied together at the tail. While in your possession, this makes it slightly easier to find lost items within the same room as you, mostly useful for scatter-brained children.

DURATION: 2 Hours

Royal Rat-King transforms into a Large Swarm of rats, though they are all tied at the tail and wear small, sinple golden crowns. In the center of this swarm is one rat that is notably larger than the others, wearing a more ornate crown and a lush, purple robe. When activated, you describe up to 10 items of Light Bulk or less to the central rat, and a location within 500 feet of your location, such as a building or a room. The Royal Rat-King immediately makes its way to the described location, and searches for 10 items loosely matching the descriptions given. If less than 10 items were described, it will look for multiple objects matching one of the descriptions given. While searching, the Royal Rat-King will attempt to stay hidden and avoid notice, and will attempt to open containers, drawers, and the like. While searching, the Royal Rat-King has a perception modifier equal to 8 + your level, a Stealth Modifier equal to 8 + your level, and a Thievery modifier equal to 10 + your level. Once Royal Rat-King has found the 10 objects, and has any duration left, it will return to you once more with those objects, again attempting to remain unseen and unnoticed. If Royal Rat-King becomes aware it has been spotted, if it's duration expires without finding 10 items, or if it would take any damage, it immediately reverts to it's plush form in your possession, and all items it's found fall to the ground at your feet. Royal Rat-King is not terribly smart, and so descriptions of items must be rather specific, and it cannot read, so if a document such as a ledger or specific book are described, it will do it's best to guess. Once Royal Rat-Kind reverts to Plush form, it cannot be activated again for 1 week.

ITEM 3 Songtress Siren   Invested Occult

This small plush is of a pink scaled mermaid with a bra made of red shells. Unlike the other plushes, Songstress Siren is completely waterproof, and when submerged in enough water to cover her tail, she will sing a quiet, pleasant tune.

DURATION: 1 Hour

Songstress Siren transforms into a Medium Humoid, attempting to manifest in an easily accessible body of water, large enough to cover her tail, within 30 feet of you. If there is no such body of water, she will manifest in the nearest open space, with a globe of magical water for her tail that allows her to hover a few inches off the ground. For the Duration, Songstress Siren will follow alongside you and give you a +2 item bonus to Performance checks, singing or humming to compliment your check. Additionally, once during the duration, you can spend two actions to Command her to cast either Charm as a 1st Rank spell or Water Breathing as a 2nd Rank spell. If Songstress Siren is ever more than 30 feet from you, if she takes any damage, if you spend an Action to Command her to deactivate, or if her duration runs out, She will immediately revert to plush form in your possession, and cannot be activated again for 3 days.

ITEM 5 Ornery Owlbear   Invested Primal

This small plush is of an owlbear, with bushy eyebrows furrowed in frustration. When squeezed, the plush lets out a growl and harmlessly swings it's forelimbs.

DURATION: 2 Hours

Ornery Owlbear transforms into a Large Owlbear. When activated, you designate up to six creatures as allies, and may designate one of those allies as having the next watch. For it's duration, Ornery Owlbear will regard those creatures with a glower, but otherwise ignore them. For the duration, Ornery Owlbear will patrol it's surroundings, staying with 200 feet of you in the process. Ornery Owlbear has imprecise Scent with a range of 30 feet, Low Light Vision, and a Perception Modifier equal to 8 + your level. If Ornery Owlbear becomes aware of a potential threat during this patrol, or would take any damage, it will let out a screech, immediately waking you and all creatures designated as allies. A creature awoken by this screech is immediately aware, and recognizes it has been woken by the effect of Ornery Owlbear. This screech will also attempt to counteract Magical Sleep effects, using your Spellcasting Modifier, or your Class DC minus 10, whichever is higher. If the threat spotted by Ornery Owlbear has obvious hostile intent, such as having a drawn weapon, it will first charge the threat as it screeches. This creature must make a Will save against either your Spell Save DC or your Class DC, whichever is higher, or become Frightened 2 (frightened 3 on a critical failure). Once Ornery Owlbear screeches, it reverts back to Plush Form and cannot be activated for 1d3 days. If it's duration expires without Screeching, it will find the ally designated as having next watch, or a random ally that is not you if no ally was designated as such, and rudely awaken them before reverting to Plush Form. If it does not screech before reverting to Plush Form, it cannot be activated again until your next daily preparations.

ITEM 8 Huggy Ooze   Arcane Emotion Invested

USAGE: Worn or Held in One Hand

This plush is just large enough to be easily hugged by a child. It is Bright Orange, smells of lavender, and has a simple smiley face on it's front. Unlike the other Plushes, Huggy Ooze was made as a more limited run, for particularly nervous children and even the 'mundane' version has concrete magical benefits. If a creature spends at least 10 minutes during their daily preparation, they gain a +1 item bonus to the first Fear effect they are subject to this day.

DURATION: 10 Minutes

When activated, Huggy Ooze transforms into a Large Ooze, with the consistency of peanut butter, and the same color and features as it's plush form. While active, Huggy Ooze is Friendly to you and your Allies, and will attempt to protect you from hostile creatures. It's turn is always immediately after yours, and is controlled by the DM, though you can spend an Action to give it a simple command for it's next turn. If Huggy Ooze is reduced to zero HP, or it's duration ends, it reverts to it's Plush Form. Once Huggy Ooze reverts to Plush form, it cannot be activated again for a week. Huggy ooze has the following statistics and actions while Active.

NESTED Friendly Wall [two-actions]

Huggy Ooze raises its body into a ten foot tall wall. It counts as Greater Cover for you and it's allies until the start of it's next turn.

NESTED Friendly Hug [two-actions]

Huggy Ooze has less than 4 creatures Grappled or Restrained.

Huggy Ooze attempts to grab up to 4 creatures adjacent to it with psuedopods, making a seperate Grapple Check for each target. These checks do not apply a Multi-Attack Penalty. Once it has 4 creatures grabbed or restrained, any further checks to grapple new creatures automatically fail.

The first time during it's activation a creature Grappled or Restrained by Huggy Ooze takes any damage that is not Nonlethal, it is visibly distressed and it takes a -5 penalty to it's Athletics for the remainder of it's duration. The second time this would happen, Huggy Ooze lets out a cry of distress and immediately reverts to Plush form in your possesion.

NESTED Playful Tickle [one-action]    Emotion

Huggy Ooze has a creature Grabbed or Restrained

Huggy Ooze use it's pseudopods to tickle one of the required creatures. The target makes a Will Save against your Class DC or your Spell Save DC, whichever is higher. On a Failure, it remains in Huggy Oozes grasp, and cannot attempt to Escape on it's next turn. On a critical failure, it also cannot use any actions with the Concentrate trait.
