Terror Knight

Dread warriors who have learned that Fear is as deadly as any weapon, Terror Knights leave their foes broken in both body and mind. Despite common association with Tyrants, Terror Knights are found just as often championing the causes of Justice and Heroism, striking terror into the hearts of villains.

FEAT 2 Terror Knight Dedication   Archetype Dedication

ARCHETYPE: Terror Knight

PREREQUISITE: Trained in any Martial Weapons, Charisma +2

You've learned how best to strike terror into your foes, and how best to strike those in terror. You become trained in Intimidation, or if you were already trained you become an Expert. Additionally, enemies within 15 feet of you that are aware of you can't reduce their Frightened condition below 1.

FEAT 4 Fearsome Blow [two-actions]    Archetype Attack Emotion Fear Flourish

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

You strike in such a threatening manner it leaves your foes shaking. Make an unarmed or melee weapon Strike. If you hit and deal damage, the target gains the Frightened 1 condition (Frightened 2 on a crit), or increase their Frightened value by 1 (2 on a crit) if the target is already Frightened.

FEAT 4 Dread Magic Initiate   Archetype

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication, Trained in Occultism

You focus your skills towards blending magic into your already terrifying martial skill. You become trained in Occult Spell attacks and Occult Spell DC using your Charisma, gain Basic Occult Spellcasting as a spontaneous caster, and add a common Occult cantrip and the Fear spell to your repertoire. Each time you gain a new spell slot from the Terror Knight Archetype, add a common occult spell or another spell you learned or discovered to repertoire of the appropriate rank.

ARCHETYPE: Pirate, Terror Knight

You reduce an Enemy to 0 Hit Points

Note: This version of the You're Next feat is intended for use with an Archetype and has a different level for access than the original feat.

After downing a foe, you menacingly remind another foe that you're coming after them next. Attempt an Intimidation check with a +2 circumstance bonus to Demoralize a single creature that you can see and that can see you. If you have legendary proficiency in Intimidation, you can use this as a free action with the same trigger.

A creature makes a strike against you and doesn't critically succeed

Note: This version of the Audacious Retort feat is intended for use with an Archetype, and has a different level for Access than the original.

You shrug off blows with casual arrogance, and inform your foe of your intent to retaliate. Attempt an Intimidation check to Demoralize the triggering Creature. If the triggering Strike hit and dealt damage, you have a +1 circumstance bonus to the Intimidation check.

FEAT 6 Looming Dread Stance [one-action]    Archetype Mental Open Stance

ARCHETYPE: Terror Knight

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

Wreathing yourself and nearby allies in shadow, You use your very presence as a threat, encouraging your allies to strike fear with their blows. When you use this action, attempt an intimidation check. The DC is usually a standard-difficulty DC of your level, but the GM can assign a different DC based on the circumstances. The effect depends on the result of your check.

Until you exit this stance, you gain an aura in a 20 foot emanation with the Emotion, Mental, and Visual traits. You and allies within this aura gain a status bonus to damage rolls equal to the damage dice of the weapon or unarmed strike. Additionally, when you or an ally in the aura critically strike an enemy, it becomes Frightened 1 (Or increases its Frightened value by 1 if already frightened)

Same as a critical success, but the aura is only 10 foot.

Feat 6 Crippling Fear [one-action]    Archetype Attack Fear Mental Press

ARCHETYPE: Terror Knight

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

Once a foe shows weakness, you can further chip away at their resolve. Make a melee weapon or Unarmed Strike on a foe that is Frightened. On a hit, they take mental damage equal to their frightened value, and they become Enfeebled equal to their Frightened value for as long as they remain Frightened. This strike also gains the following Failure Effect

The Target takes mental damage equal to their Frightened Value, and becomes Enfeebled equal to their frightened value until the end of their next turn

FEAT 6 Startling Charge [two-actions]    Archetype Flourish Open

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

You make a sudden, unexpected lunge, coupled with a battle cry, at your foes with the intent of leaving them off guard. Stride up to your speed, then attempt to Demoralize one adjacent enemy. If you successfully Demoralize, you may Strike that enemy as well.

FEAT 8 Shadow Step [two-actions]    Archetype Shadow Teleportation

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

You use shadows and other obscurations like a doorway, opening new paths across the battlefield. Step into an adjacent space filled with dim light, Darkness, shadow, thick fog, smoke or other visual obscurement, then Step out of another unoccupied space of the same within 40 ft that you can see.

Your spell repertoire expands and you can cast more occult spells in a day. Increase your spell repertoire and spells slots you gain from Terror Knight Archetype feats by 1 for each spell rank other than your two highest Occult spell slots

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication

You thrive on your foes weakness, and are bolstered as their resolves crumble. You gain Temporary HP equal to your Charisma mod+ your level, and as long as you have that Temp HP you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to resist fear effects

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication, Master in Intimidation

You're a beacon of grim strength to your allies, shining harshly on the weakness of the cowering. Creatures within 15 feet of you that can see you, with the Frightened condition, are off guard.

FEAT 10 Lament of the Dead [two-actions]    Archetype Emotion Fear Mental Occult

ARCHETYPE: Terror Knight

PREREQUISITE: Terror Knight Dedication, The ability to Cast a Spell from Spell Slots

You conjure the lingering shades of damned souls to strike fear into the very heart of all who would stand in your path. Expend a spell slot to create a 10ft emanation, within which all creatures of your choice have their minds filled with the wails of the sorrowful dead. Each of those creatures makes a basic will save against your spell dc, taking 2d6 Mental damage. On a critical failure they become frightened 2 as well. For each rank of spell slot above 1st spent, increase the damage by 2d6.

When a Frightened Creature that can see you damages you, they take 2d4 mental damage. This increases to 3d4 if you legendary proficiency in Intimidation.

Note: This version of the Rampart Aura feat is intended for use in an Archetype, and has a different level for access than the original feat.

Your Looming Dread Stance aura becomes palpable with malice, preventing the weak willed from approaching, or escaping should you already be upon them. When a creature not already affected by Rampart Aura would start its turn in or enter your Looming Dread stance aura for the first time in a turn, they make a Will Save. The effect depends on the effect of their save,:

They take no effect and become immune to your Rampart Aura for 1 hour

The target treats your aura as difficult terrain until the end of their turn, after which they become immune to your rampart aura for 1 minute.

The target treats your aura as difficult terrain for 1 minute.

Same as a failure, except they also are Immobilized until the end of their turn

You Roll Initiative

Terrorizing your foes comes to you instinctually. When you would roll Initiative, you may attempt to enter your Looming Dread Stance as a free action, following all the normal rules of that feat.
